room updates

hello!!
So it may not have been long since my last room tour but I've been updating some things lately and I thought I should give you an update since I have a thing for room decorating.

1 // trestle shelves

the lovely people at trestle union contacted me a couple of weeks ago asking me if I would like some shelf inserts for my table which I recently bought from them. Obviously, I jumped at the opportunity as I had been eyeing them up for quite some time!!

It's been so fun having something more to decorate on my desk and give me more space for my endless stationery collection - did I mention I went to kikki.k and typo last week (shopping haul coming soon!!!) so the collection has just got bigger (again)

The first shelf has my wooden crate of pens, pencils, paints, paintbrushes, pretty much every drawing/painting thing I own!! I don't think I need any more (the crate was a sample fruit drink box)
I also have my collection of typo notebooks stacked on the shelf with the water-colour pad and other sketchbooks

on the second shelf I have two cardboard boxes. One has my art stuff in it that I don't have on my desk and the other is my sewing box and fabric - though, half my fabric is in the garage because I can't find a place for it in my room!!!

I really recommend trestle union's tables and their shelf inserts, they are great quality and are so sleek and stylish.

2 // bedside table

I wrote a post on how to style a circular bedside table - but mine was looking pretty messy anyway!!
So I used my own tips to re decorate it
now it features a cactus, my amazing smelling vanilla candle, latest magazines and a book.

I hope you enjoyed my little updated room tour
you guys always seem so intrigued by my room so I like to post about it

P.S. I hope all you mailing list subscribers got your newsletter last week!! Next one comes out in august.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post, and all opinions expressed are my own. I was sent these products free of charge in return for a feature of how I use them in my day to day life.  Many thanks to Mike @ The Trestle Uunion for sending me the shelf inserts and supporting vanilla craft blog

  9. I so envy your workspace! As a seamstress, I really should be more organized and have a clear space to work but I kind of just throw stuff everywhere. I love the light and airy feeling of your room :)
