scrapbooking // take two

Hello!!
How are you all? Happy Friday, what's everyone up to this weekend?? Today I'm here to share with you my new scrapbooking project. Those of you who have been around for a while might remember my first attempt that failed at scrapbooking as well as the start of my project life album. Well I haven't updated that in over a year, the album type and plan just wasn't working for me.

I knew I wanted to make an album for my camp last month, and I thought it would be a perfect time to start scrapbooking (again!). I found a perfect album size and cheap supplies and made my order...

After much research in sizes of albums I found the perfect size. So many albums are 12 x 12 and 4 x 4 but I really wanted one where I could include normal 6 x 4 photos. So when 6 x 8 Simple Stories Sn@p album appeared on my screen, I was sold. Before I started, I planned out some layouts and then ordered the right page protectors.

It took a whole afternoon and 60 pieces of photo paper but it was so worth the hours of cutting out, re sizing, printing, sticking and organising - I almost wish I had more page protectors. It's taught me that scrapbooking doesn't have to be a chore, just so you can keep up, but a fun activity on a rainy afternoon that can be just as special as the finished product. And with some upbeat music (I'm thinking Blank Space by T-Swift) it really is a fun project.

Of course I'm going to share some of my favourite pages with you. I haven't quite finished it because I want to add some little notes and things to remember the funny moments that happened. I had a lot of fun making the jigsaw pages (second photo) - but boy, it took a lot of measuring to get that photo matched up.

My favourite part of this album is how I included my instax prints. I took my instax down to the camp with me, and it was so fun capturing instant memories. I then had like 50 photos that I needed to do something with and incorporating them into my album was perfect. I've got a few pages of solid instaxes plus of course some that are included that match the normal photos.

Thanks so much for letting me share my adventure with you in a scrapbook. I'm so proud of this one that is sitting on my shelf, I hope it might inspire me to make more - especially a summer one with summer fast approaching!!
