One of my goals for 2015 is to make a photo a day book inspired by this book from Kikki.K. I've always loved photos and capturing memories and I wanted to set a challenge. Today and for the rest of the 365 days I'm partnering with Fuji Film NZ to show you how to do a photo a day challenge and the endless possibilities within that category.
Today to start off, I'm going to talk to you about actually taking the photos etc and what I've done so far and then every month or two months from now on I will share a other things to do with your photos.
So for my project I'm using this 365 book from Kikki.K as well as photo prints from Fuji Film. This service is great, you can bulk order your photos and get them delivered right to your door. Everything month I'm just going to send my photos through and then be able to stick them in my book. During the month, I'm keeping them in an album on my phone since I know that the majority of my photos will be iPhone photos. Which isn't a bad thing, read some tips for iPhone photos here.
I love this simpleness of this book - it makes the photos pop and stand out so much more.
This is how I'm laying out my photos. Photo and simple sentence. This day 6 and 7. They were fun days, I went paddle boarding, kayaking and then the next day we sailed to a secret beach for lunch. So much fun, I don't want this summer to end!
If I haven't already inspired you to do so..here are some things that might get you going
+ just take a photo!
+ create a (very) long list of prompts
+ set a theme for each week e.g. water in all of them
+ have one object or type of thing in each photo
+ use a instax camera with traditional instax prints (Erin did this last year)
+ also take photos of your self so you can see the change
So this project is all about you guys and I really hope you will join in - even if its a bit a late. So please hashtag your photo a days on instagram (@vanillacraftblog) or twitter (@vanillacrafty) to #vanillacraft365 and I should hopefully share some of my favourites here every post. Good luck xx
I'm sorry this is a bit late, I hope you guys might be able to catch up, it's never too late I think!!
I can't wait to be able to look back on this, and help me see the year! I'll be able to remember so much
- harri x
P.S. Next month I'll be here to share about captioning your photos, so keep an eye out
This is such a good idea, I'm bummed I didn't hear about it sooner! I guess it's not too late to start. x
