city 10 edit

Hello!

As promised, here is another style edit. I got a little creative with this layout and I really enjoyed it. Would you guys like to see a video on how I made this??

This little shoot came from Auckland city's industrial feel buildings. I paired the raw concrete backdrops with this beautiful blush sweatshirt and my black jeans for a light (almost summery) look! The auckland waterfront is gorgeous and on one of the wharves is this shed called 'shed 10' (I don't know why) and it's quite old and has a very cool surrounding. The city hosts a lot of events in the building as well since using it when the World Cup was in Auckland!

it's finally the holidays here in New Zealand and they were definitely needed! The sailing season has started and along with exam study (the worst bit),  I've been out sailing again as well as coaching. Summer is finally coming down here and we are ready for it! Though I shot this a few weeks back, it was the first hint of summer coming (It was so hot, I regretted wearing a sweatshirt!) and now it's really happening!

This layout was inspired by one of my current favourite colours - dusky pink, blush or whatever you call it. I did the little scribbles with my wacom tablet and I love how they are just a bit messy and not really planned. I'm looking forward to creating more like this for you soon!

Have a fab week

ball makeup

NARS eyeshadow - dione / NARS eye paint - black valley / NARS blush - orgasm / NARS highlighter - hot sand / NARS lip pencil - dragon girl / aesop - fabulous face cleanser / NARS sheer glow foundation / mecca - perfection primer / hourglass - ambient bronzer

A month ago (a bit of a delay here), I had my first school ball.  I had to go and actually buy makeup for it - yes, I didn't own any! Here's my thoughts on some the products I used on the night.

NARS sheer glow foundation / What I found with the NARS sheer glow foundation is that it is very hard to blend and is definitely not a very easy to use foundation. It was perfect for the night and I will definitely use it again for special events. But for more frequent daily use I have invested in another foundation that is easier to use.

NARS blush - orgasm / I absolutely love this blush. It is the prettiest pink and unlike some other blushes I've tried, it really suits my skin tone. It's got quite a bit of sparkle in it so I'm looking into finding the same colour without the sparkles for during the day wear.

NARS eye paint / This stuff was quite odd and hard to apply and I haven't actually used it since for my everyday wear but it made for good eye makeup on the night as I went quite minimal.

NARS dione eyeshadow / This is my favourite product! I hate silver eyeshadow, it always looks kind of grey and dull and anything else I just don't love. This was so perfect because it has a little bit of bronze in it but still looked silver! I love wearing this out to normal events as well - I seriously recommend it!

I hope you enjoyed this slightly different post. The ball night was so fabulous and I can't wait for next years!
Lots of love

wharf. style

navy bomber jacket - topshop / stripe shirt - huffer / sneakers - adidas / jeans - acne studios
photos by - char yates / shot in - herne bay, auckland

If I'm perfectly honest with you, I made a fashion post because I wanted to show off my new handbag, and no other reason! Maybe I'm a fashion blogger now because I actually loved taking and editing these photos!

As I call it, we went sunset chasing at the local fishing wharf and beaches near my house and you know that perfect hour of light, we got just that! Optimum photo time - just look at all those golden tones! This is my go-to outfit at the moment - I've fallen in love with this TopShop bomber jacket and (another) striped shirt!

Now, the bag! It was my 17th birthday present (sometime in the 3 weeks that actually feels forever ago now!) from my parents and is a MYDEERFOX bucket bag. It is literally the most amazing bag in the world and it fits EVERYTHING in it! I go outside feeling like Mary Poppins with everything in one bag! I'm sorry, I'm way too excited about it!

Guys! I fashion blogged for the first time since 2012 (and we definitely won't revisit those horrors), aren't you proud?

Maybe I'll even continue...
